I couldn’t have imagined a better way to end what has been an amazing year, performing at Woodford Folk Festival!  Being here with my family and friends for the week was truly inspirational to say the least.  To be among so many incredible artists, especially “Mr Percival” (Darren Percival) reminded me of how powerful music can be in bringing people together, rejoicing together, facing fears together, sharing life’s ups and downs together.  I witnessed and experienced many moving moments which will stay with me and energise me forever.

I would like to sincerely wish you all a happy, safe and inspiring new year.

I was 10 yrs old when my Mum and Dad took me to my 1st ever concert, to see Tommy Emmanuel. The impact and inspiration I received that night was monumental. Now, 27yrs later I get to see him two nights in a row!  I am laughing, crying, cheering and being moved just as I was when I was a kid. To meet this amazingly humble and talented virtuoso was a very special moment for me. I felt like a kid again… then went back to my room and practiced…
